THE EUROPEAN UNION REGISTER OF COMPLEMENTARY PRACTITIONERS
WHAT IS THE EURCP?
The European Register of Complementary Practitioners and Therapists is a list of Altenative and Complementary (AC Register) Practitioners Therapists and Training Centres who, in the opinion of the C.H.A, have proved their competence either through obtaining an approved/recognised qualification, those who are qualified and are of long standing and have a proven record and have been safely practising for many years. or by having undertaken an assessment by the EURCP, using an NVQ assessor.
They will also have agreed to abide by the EURCP Code of Conduct and Ethics.
They are also required to have full insurance cover for their specific discipline.
The registers Intention is to have one single unifying register for the whole Complementary profession that both the public and the NHS can be assured of the quality of its Practitioners, Therapists and Healers. It also protects the professions themselves as only fully qualified Practitioners, Therapists and Healers, who can demonstrate that they have trained to or attained an accepted level of professionalism. The public can be therefore be assured that the Practitioners, Therapists and Healers on the register Are Insured and have accepted the Complementary Therapy Associations Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct. This register exists to protect the public from Practitioners, Therapists and Healers who are not competent to practice to the agreed standards. The register will also give you credibility to the profession and through being on the register, will give other health professions the confidence to refer patients/clients.
Many Practitioners and Therapists offer their services to the terminally ill, disabled and the less well off on a donation only basis and as such, do not always have the funds to be affiliated to or to be members of the many associations/organisations that abound.
Therefore the EURCP register will only charge what is required to cover the administration of the register.
All the people involved with the maintaining of the register will do so on a voluntary basis.
